Sprint at Le Mans: Marc Marquez is divine, not "El Diablo". Bagnaia falls

Marc Marquez's unbeaten run in the Sprints of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship continues. At Le Mans, the Spanish Ducati rider wins his sixth consecutive short race. Jorge Martin's record has been beaten. The solo triumph is also worth the world championship lead. Marc, in fact, overtakes his brother Alex, who came in second. Third place for Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini Ducati), capable of bending a tough Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). A bitter Saturday for Francesco Bagnaia, who slipped in the early stages of the race.
All the riders opt for the hard compound for the front tire and the soft compound for the rear. Thirteen laps to tackle. At the start Quartararo defends the first position from the assault of Marquez and attempts a small attack. Good start for Bagnaia, who climbs from sixth to fourth position. The chase, however, ends soon, already at the beginning of the second lap: Pecco slips and sadly ends his Sprint. A heavy zero in view of the world championship and, at the same time, an assist exploited by his teammate Marquez.
In fact, the Spanish rider from the Ducati Lenovo team sounds the charge with a rapid comeback on Quartararo. Halfway through the race, Marc is already in the Yamaha's exhausts. The crucial moment occurs on lap six, when Marquez launches two decisive attacks. Fabio repels the first like a champion, but can do nothing about the second overtaking attempt. Once in the lead, Marc quickly takes off, leaving Quartararo busy against the Gresini riders. The Frenchman's grit is not enough. Marquez Jr. snatches second place from him and, shortly after, Fabio also has to give in against Aldeguer. Unlucky Pedro Acosta who falls on the last lap, giving fifth place to Maverick Vinales. Johann Zarco (Honda) is sixth, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Rins. Joan Mir, ninth, closes the points zone.
